Icelantic athlete Rachel Croft sees the top of another FWQ podium. This win in Taos currently lands her in first place on the Freeride World Qualifier tour. If you're wondering what skis she shreds on they're Nomad 125's.

It was hard to feel nervous standing in the start gate on day one of the Revelstoke 4* FWQ event. I had clicked into my new Nomad 125's for my competition run, but their predecessor, the Gypsies, were waiting in my ski bag, freshly mounted with tech bindings, itching to take me on an adventure in the breathtaking British Columbia backcountry. If I didn't qualify for finals day, I had plans to go touring with friends. I was almost hoping I'd fall.
New year's 2017 brought lots of snow to the west. Thiss first storm of the year was described as an "overachiever". Here's Icelantic athlete and team manager Scotty VerMerris getting amongst it at Alta on the new Nomad 125
"Whenever I look at my Nomad 125's, I am whisked away in a world far, and near, away.. A land of perfect pow skiing, with 5,000' vert couloirs. I summit a peak, inhale the perfect air, views abundant, sharpen my stare, place my Nomad125's in the snow, click in. I am ready to be one with my skis and respect, but SHRED, my surrounding. I drop in, arching turns in the pow, floating effortlessly turn to turn, playful, bouncy, responsive.. Perfect. Literally perfects skis. I gain speed, I rail turns, steady and reliable, strong skis at the same time playful. I love my Nomad 125's!"
