This past summer Icelantic athlete Nick Martini and Stept Productions went back to their roots to capture the story of 93-year old Joe Lahout and America’s Oldest Ski Shop. The crew spent a few days exploring the White Mountains with Joe, learning about the area, shop, and life spent in the outdoors. From steel to wood, leather to Raichle, Joe has been there for it all. The short film was an Official Selection to the Telluride Mountainfilm Festival and exclusively hosted by Teton Gravity Research. The story was also picked up by the Boston GlobeWashington Post, Denver Post, Outside MagazineFreeskier MagazineSKI Magazine, New Hampshire Chronicle (WMUR-9), NECN/NBC Universal, Huckberry Journal, National Retail Federation's - Retail Across America series, among other media outlets. To learn more about the project check out our InstagramFacebook and Twitter channels or view the archive and film photography albums.
