Brand ethos: Founded in 1920, America's Oldest Ski Shop is a 4th generation family run business that started pedaling goods from a horse and wagon with local general store. Icelantic is proud to have our skis sold inside this iconic ski shop and we are proud to have become one of Lahout's top selling brands. Both Icelantic and Lahout's share in American pride and Lahout's customers have fallen for the innovation, quality and U.S. manufacturing of Icelantic Skis. The shop is not only a piece of history resembling a museum it is also one of the countries most progressive ski shops. They are located in Littleton and Lincoln, New Hampshire, on the doorstep of the White Mountain National Forest and Pemigewasset Wilderness. On  your next trip east, step into the past and the future at the same time at Lahout's.

This past summer Icelantic athlete Nick Martini and Stept Productions went back to their roots to capture the story of 93-year old Joe Lahout and America’s Oldest Ski Shop. The crew spent a few days exploring the White Mountains with Joe, learning about the area, shop, and life spent in the outdoors. From steel to wood, leather to Raichle, Joe has been there for it all. The short film was an Official Selection to the Telluride Mountainfilm Festival and exclusively hosted by Teton Gravity Research. The story was also picked up by the Boston GlobeWashington Post, Denver Post, Outside MagazineFreeskier MagazineSKI Magazine, New Hampshire Chronicle (WMUR-9), NECN/NBC Universal, Huckberry Journal, National Retail Federation's - Retail Across America series, among other media outlets. To learn more about the project check out our InstagramFacebook and Twitter channels or view the archive and film photography albums.
