On March 1st, 1973, Pink Floyd released their eighth album. The Dark Side of the Moon would become one of the top-selling albums of all time with over 50 Million copies worldwide, and with record-setting stays on the Billboard chart. With this collaboration, we showcase the album artwork and celebrate 50 years of The Dark Side of the Moon.
The Icelantic x Pink Floyd Nomad 105 features George Hardie and British design group Hipgnosis' original sketches on the tails, and the now iconic prism/color beam image on the tips of Icelantic’s top-selling freeride tool, the Nomad 105. Our Design Director has re-imagined the beams to reflect off the edges of the skis and cascade toward each other, creating a relationship between concept and final artwork.
“As a company we’ve always been extremely tied to music and the arts, and enjoy putting together Limited Edition projects to highlight some of those relationships,” says Icelantic Skis Founder Ben Anderson.
Icelantic Skis worked with Pink Floyd Merchandising Representatives Perryscope Productions to license the artwork for this collaboration.
Like all Icelantic Skis, the Icelantic X Pink Floyd Nomad 105 is handmade in Denver, Colorado and has a 3-Year Bombproof Warranty.
