Beautiful Love, Ugly Disease - Team GarBear FU ALS Benefit Piece

The FU ALS benefit for our man Gary Wyman was a great success. Our friends at F4D Studio created this piece documenting the event while giving a look inside the life of Gary and his wife Kati and the love they share as they manage the imminent nature of this terrible disease.

Words from Gary: 

After many months of planning, gathering donations, and so many amazing volunteers helping, the day had arrived. Katie and I were getting ready for our very first event for Team GarBear. My wonderful friends at F4D Studio offered to come over and film while we got ready for the big night.

ALS has already had a tremendous effect on the simplest daily tasks. Katie and I felt that it was important to show how things have progressed in an honest way. It’s difficult to show my vulnerability when all I want is to be strong through this frustrating disease, but it is detrimental to raising awareness.

This video beautifully captures the love and support that filled the Ogden Theatre that night. Thank you to everyone that made FU ALS a huge success. It was truly an amazing night- one of which I’ll never forget.
