Iz La Motte
Freeride, Backcountry
Iz La Motte was raised in the Catskill Mountains of New York and educated in the Green Mountains of Vermont. She now spends her winters in Utah’s Wasatch Range and the “off-season” in her van throughout the North American west. She works as a photographer & videographer for Alta Ski Area’s marketing department shooting some of the most talented skiers in the industry, including those on the Icelantic team. You can find her published work in Backcountry Magazine and Freeskier Magazine. When she's not up Little Cottonwood Canyon she’s usually chasing an outdoor pursuit with her camera in hand.
Fun Facts
During the 19-20 ski season Iz traveled to Switzerland & Austria with the Icelantic team to shoot two weeks filled with big lines and even bigger hucks.
Iz moved to Salt Lake after staying in a friend’s dorm room at the Gold Miner’s Daughter for a week during her final semester of college. After experiencing the greatest snow on earth there was no turning back.
